Jesus Christ has died on the Cross?
Why, what for, what does that mean?

Even at the time the onlookers said when they saw Jesus hanging on the cross: "come down if you are the son of God!"

But the question is really totally different. "Why did He hang on the cross?" "Is that a God of love if he does not spare His own son? "A cruel religion!"
Perhaps a little story by the national economist Roscher lets us suspect what really had happened there.

"Law or Love – which is the highest?"

The Tschetschenian Prince Schamyl, who had died a long time ago, did give a strict order at his life time the no-one should touch the loot of this warring people – by a punishment of 100 lashes. At one point there was a thief in the mids of them – and this was unfortunately the ailing and feeble mother of the prince.
"Should the law be executed?" he was asked. He asked for one day of grace to think about it when he finally emerged from his tent. He did not want to loose his trustworthiness nor did he want to be known as one who is braking his own laws and he did not want to be unjust so he declared: "The law must be kept. Bind her to a pole and give her lashes." However, after the fist lash the Prince went forward to be bound in place of his mother and ordered the soldiers: "keep on applying the lashes, and not one of them short." This way he had found the solution:
The mother was saved, the law was kept and love was without question the motivating factor. By the way, the mother could have refused to be saved!

This is the Price!

We read in the Bible, in John 3:16-18:
For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not His son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believes on Him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Every human being is because of his own failure and because of the first sin of Adam and Eve automatically condemned to hell, in other words: he cannot enter into the realm of God where there is eternal love, peace and joy.

Through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross the price was paid. It is the foundation that every human being may live in God’s kingdom eternally. Through faith and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and in his sacrificial death on the cross and his resurrection the foundation was laid, that God’s good plans for the life of a person here on earth are fulfilled. The result is, that everyone who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ can experience in his lifetime the love of God, his help and freedom, also joy and grace and healing for body, mind and soul.

Every person will live eternally: how and where?

In order to obtain eternal life and to have the blessing of the Lord here on earth all you need to do is accept Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour and to believe that He died on the cross and rose again from the dead.

How does one believe and how does one accept Jesus into once life?

You can do it by saying a simple prayer, something like this: Dear Lord, thank you that through you I can live eternally because you offered your son Jesus on the cross. Dear Lord Jesus, I believe, that you are the son of God and that you have died for my salvation, healing and forgiveness. Please come into my life, into my heart and forgive all my sins and be the Lord of my life, and fill me of your Holy Spirit. Amen.

God is saying, that if you say that prayer from your heart you will become His child and all your sins and wrongs will be forgiven you and you have received eternal life. That is reason for great joy!
